Well done, everyone! It was fantastic to see some new faces joining the hike.

It was a scenic hike along the Maidstone Trail featuring the iconic Leeds Castle. The route included gentle inclines and a mix of trail and road walking with the most perfect weather and company.

These individuals stood up for justice and change, and their courage will not be forgotten.

We don’t follow political agendas; our purpose is rooted in love, care, and support for one another. But when injustice or inequality arises, we will always stand for what is right.

We are incredibly proud and grateful to be part of a community that stays strong, uplifts one another, and spreads positivity. Today, over a week since the protests began, we continue to send our love, solidarity, and unwavering support to our friends and family in Nepal. 🇳🇵

Hamro Ekiden 2025 🌟

We would like to thank every runner, volunteer, and cheering team who made Hamro Ekiden 2025 such a success.

This year, 55 runners and over 30 volunteers came together for an incredible two-day challenge, running through both day and night.

Each runner completed 21 km, collectively covering an impressive 1,155 km.
Every participant ran with their own story, united in the mission to raise funds for two heartfelt causes: Team Sankalpa and Gurkha - The Untold Truth Project.

We are deeply grateful to our event sponsors: Sunshine Mortgages, Yeti Homes, and Himalayan Café for their generous support in covering event expenses, and to the Folkestone Nepalese community for their continued support and encouragement.

Finally, a sincere thank you to everyone who generously contributed to the Hamro Ekiden fundraising campaign.

Being rich isn’t just about money, it’s about surrounding yourself with people who share your values, who are like minded, and who show up with love and support for one another. That’s the kind of wealth I cherish most.

We were honoured to be invited by Peloton Studios London for a run to mark South Asian Heritage Month. It was more than just a run, it was a celebration of culture, community, and connection. Grateful to share that space with others who uplift and inspire.

From a recreational runner to a Championship runner. 🌟

Mother of two, wife and a full time job.

Manda is one of the few top Nepalese female athletes, and her running journey is truly inspiring.

Not only has she carved out a space for herself in running community (especially Nepalese running community) dominated by men, but she has also become a role model for many young girls in the Nepalese community showing them that it’s possible to chase big dreams, no matter the odds.

For women, navigating the different phases of the menstrual cycle while training and performing at a high level presents unique physical and mental challenges. The resilience it takes to push through these difficulties day in and day out is something that should be recognised and respected, especially by male counterparts.

What makes Nepalese Female runners journey even more remarkable is that, as a Nepalese woman, they not only the physical demands of being an athlete but also the added weight of family expectations and cultural stigma that still exist in parts of Nepalese society. Overcoming these barriers is a powerful testament to their strength, dedication, and passion.

Thank you for being a role model for us.
